Hi. It's good to see you, it's been a while. School is done for the semester so I have been able to get a little more work done. I've got some more art that I will be posting shortly, mostly chickens. I'm using pictures of Don Knotts for reference.

Here are a few concept drawings for the Jacques' and his assistant, the two chefs. I haven't decided on any designs yet, although I am falling in love with the curmudgeon at the bottom.

This Blog is dedicated to the making of Best Served Cold, an animated story of two chickens who lead a rebellion against the disgusting chefs of the poussin rouge.
I began BSC back in 2000, when I was a dishwasher. With nothing but countless hours, a scrubby, and a monumental pile of half eaten chow I found it necessary to entertain myself by imagining what would happen if the food led a revolution. From inbetween the leaning towers of ceramic dishes I observed chefs tying up, herbing, and trussing chickens to be roasted on a spit. From this image was born my two heroes: Frederick and Eunice. A few years later while studying animation in the Bay area I decided I would borrow Fred and Eunice's story and I wrote the script (I hope they don't mind).
For me, Best Served Cold is a story of so many things that I love; surly characters, friendship, chaos, rebellion, and most of all...food.
